Isaac's Newborn Photo Shoot

If you haven't gotten your fill of newborn pictures yet, this post is for you. The week after we came home from the hospital, my friend Deanna, who owns Daisy Baby Photography, took a ton of photos of Isaac for us.

These are probably my favorites!

While recovering from a c-section was rough and I didn't feel like going much of anywhere, I knew that in order to get those coveted, adorable, sleepy newborn shots, there's a small window of time. I'm glad we made the effort though. Look at how sweet our boy is!

Precious!

Sweet boy!

Deanna was definitely the best newborn photographer we've ever worked with; you could tell she knew what she was doing. For example, she kept her in home studio super toasty to keep Isaac sleeping, played the sound of a heart beating continuously on her phone maintain a calm atmosphere, and even had a shushing machine nearby to provide extra comfort. All her efforts paid off because this little boy slept through the whole session and just let her dress him or wrap him up one time after another without complaint.

Knowing that Isaac was a "rainbow" baby, which means he came after storm of losing our last little one, Deanna wanted to do a special photo with this scarf she'd found.

She had all kids of fun costumes in her studio. Gone fishin'!

What a doll!

This one she did for Daddy. And, while I'm not normally a big Star Wars fan, I think he makes the cutest Jedi ever.

Little elf!

She got pretty artsy by the end, but I think I prefer the more natural looking ones myself.

I didn't expect to have photo taken myself that day, but at the end of the session, Deanna decided to snap a few of us together. My hair was a mess and I was sweating from the sauna she'd created, but they turned out okay anyway.

Since we weren't sure if the other kids could handle sitting through the shoot, Deanna offered to do our other family photos in our home several days later. She got some great pics of the kids together and a pretty good family photo of all of us despite working with so many little ones.

He's grown so fast that Isaac doesn't even look like this tiny little fella anymore. So glad we'll have these shots to look back on for years to come.
